The original base for our Ø2.7 m hand-cranking umbrella

A 22 kg round base in marble with a steel centre pipe, produced by the same factory as our Ø2.7 m hand-cranking garden umbrella and shipped in the same container. It is the classic look for a hospitality or garden parasol — a plain stone disc, no plastic, no visible hardware.

Because it travels with the umbrellas rather than separately, it costs far less per piece than importing bases on their own: the ocean freight and clearance are already being paid for the umbrella shipment, and the base carton simply rides along.

Choosing a base weight

At 22 kg this base is suited to sheltered terraces, courtyards and any setting where the pole also passes through a weighted table. For open, wind-exposed positions with a free-standing 2,7 m canopy, common guidance is a base of around 50 kg. Two alternatives:

• 40 kg square marble base — same factory, same shipment, 52 × 54 × 8 cm. Ask us for a price.
• Parasol Base Water Tank 45 L — roughly 51 kg once filled, ships from European stock in 1–2 weeks.

Lead time

This base is produced to order in China and consolidated with the umbrella shipment: 8–10 weeks total, sea freight, delivered Netherlands. It is not a stock item.

Prices are ex VAT, delivered Netherlands. Priced on the assumption the bases ship together with an umbrella order — ask us for a price if you need bases on their own.
